Q. Can I use the tools for free?

Yes. All conversions on /tools are available without signup or login. There is a per-IP/device daily limit (default 50), reset at midnight.

Q. How does API pricing work?

Free: 100 API calls per calendar month. Pro (KRW 5,900/mo): 15 calls per day. Pro+ (KRW 12,900/mo): 50 calls per day. Custom plans: contact us.

Q. How do I get an API key?

Sign up, then issue a key from /dashboard. The full key is shown only once — store it securely. Free plan accounts can also issue keys.

Q. Where are my uploaded files stored?

Files are held in server memory/disk only while needed for conversion, then automatically deleted within 24 hours. Download URLs also expire over time.

Q. Which file formats are supported?

PDF ↔ image (PNG/JPEG), PDF ↔ text, PDF ↔ Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), HTML → PDF, merge/split, page rotation. HWP (Hangul) support is being expanded.

Q. Can I do OCR on scanned PDFs?

Text-based PDFs are extracted directly. Image-based scans can be processed with the OCR option; accuracy depends on the source quality.

Q. How accurate is PII redaction?

Pattern-based PII (Korean SSN, phone numbers, email, credit card) is detected with high accuracy. We do not guarantee 100% — always review masked output before sharing sensitive documents.

Q. What happens when I hit a rate limit?

Anonymous users get HTTP 429 with code 'FREE_USAGE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED'. Paid API keys also have per-minute rate limits; the 'Retry-After' header tells you when to retry.

Q. How does billing work?

Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. Credit cards and major payment methods are supported. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly and can be cancelled anytime from the dashboard.

Q. What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Next billing stops immediately, and your account downgrades to Free at the end of the current cycle. Issued API keys remain active under the Free monthly quota (100 calls).

Q. What is your refund policy?

Full refund within 7 days of payment if usage is under 10% of your plan's daily limit. Request refunds via /contact.

Q. Conversion quality isn't great — how is it being improved?

Complex layouts on PDF → DOCX use the Adobe PDF Services backend for high-quality output (Pro and above). The default conversion uses our own Rust engine, which we continually tune.
